PROFILE

With a strong creative eye, all digital imagery produced by the Ecommerce Photographer will feel on brand, on strategy & relevant for MCO Brands. As part of Creative Services, this role is required to act as an active on set Photographer in our Studio, as well as a key collaborator partnering with all pre and post-production teams. This dynamic person will be eager to learn, improve, and contribute to further drive eCommerce growth. Incredible focus, ability to pivot quickly due to ever changing business needs and sense of urgency is required.

DESCRIPTION

  • Produce highest level of quality images for portfolio brands: Club Monaco, La Senza + Intermix
  • Ensure workflows and file management are properly executed
  • Ensure photo guidelines and production levels are met for all product categories, On-figure + Still-life
  • Partner with Photography Manager and Creative Leads to ensure brand aesthetics are maintained 
  • Partner with Photography Manager to review standards, align on opportunities and influence positive change
  • Understand competitive landscape and current fashion brands' activity, staying abreast of latest trends and technologies
  • Monitor and action Studio shot lists to ensure proper prioritization of items - raise red flags when in jeopardy and be solution oriented, working with Sample Management and Producers to execute
  • Identify and work to resolve challenges in the workflow while suggesting long-term improvements 
  • Support creative/editorial shoots as needed 
  • Assist in maintaining all hardware and equipment
  • Assist in supporting and training freelance support as needed
  • Act as a role model to promote collaboration and professionalism

REQUIREMENTS

  • Highly proficient photographic skills, ability to shoot both on-figure and still-life
  • High technical proficiency with Digital cameras
  • Technical proficiency with Mac, Adobe and Capture One
  • Proven lighting skills
  • Retouching skills preferred 
  • Videography skills preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Works well as part of a cross functional team
  • Possess a "can-do" attitude, ready to roll-up sleeves and participate at all levels
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail orientated
  • Proven ability to remain flexible and agile in a deadline driven environment
  • BA in Photography or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in high-volume commercial studio
  • Minimum 5 years' Macintosh platform experience
  • Able to lift 50 pounds

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, MCO includes a reasonable estimate of the salary for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. 

A reasonable estimate of the compensation is a $75k to $90k base salary.
