This is a full-time hybrid role based out of Carleton, Michigan. Starting pay may increase based on relevant skills, experience and education.  We also offer the opportunity for a merit increase after 90 days and annually thereafter.

 

As a company, Four Star has never been content to "rest on our laurels". When we first developed our Ecommerce division here at Four Star Greenhouse, we were one of the few suppliers shipping plants directly to the consumer's door. Since then, we have continued to develop our processes and methods to make sure we remained at the forefront of this industry trend.

Ecommerce at Four Star Greenhouse has been the fastest growing aspect of our business for several years. It is our intention to keep this momentum going. Therefore, we are looking to add some high performing people to our ambitious team. If selected, you'll be an integral part of a small and highly collaborative Marketing team, contributing new ideas that will continue to keep Four Star Greenhouse at the forefront of our industry. We are looking to add three positions to our growing team.

This position is new to the department and will administer the implementation of programs and develop our online fundraising and engagement programs by executing effective strategies and techniques via email, website promotions, and other digital channels and methods to meet established growth expectations. The Ecommerce Fundraiser will collaborate with the team to create a plan for digital fundraising and engagement activities, developing and implementing marketing strategies to support successful fundraising activities across the organization.

We are looking for someone with customer service and fundraising experience. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated self-starter with an outgoing personality and excellent communication and organizational skills.

JOB SUMMARY: The Ecommerce Fundraiser will collaborate with the team to create a plan for digital fundraising and engagement activities, developing and implementing marketing strategies to support successful fundraising activities across the organization. Administer the implementation of programs and develop our online fundraising and engagement programs by executing effective strategies and techniques via email, website promotions, and other digital channels and methods to meet established growth expectations. Support Four Star Greenhouse’s Mission Statement in all job-related functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Develop and manage emails, landing pages, tools and graphics for online fundraising activities, including but not limited to donation forms, promotional material, and FAQs.

2. Work within an existing brand voice, both in visual representation and editorial style, in order to support the consistency of messaging across campaigns and the organization.

3. Develop and test new initiatives and innovative concepts for fundraising. Stay abreast of industry best practices and consistently develop ways to increase the number of participants and sales.

4. Manage online communications calendar and administer the creation, production and delivery of email & other communication.

5. Liaise with external strategy and software partners to manage the execution of online fundraising following best practice recommendations.

6. Stay abreast of industry best-practices within public media and among nonprofits more broadly and also in the commercial sector.

7. Identify and approach potential fundraising channels to meet established growth objectives. Interact with potential fundraiser clients to explain the program, gain their trust and then enable their success through regular communication, content ideas or other strategies to meet objectives.

8. Encourage fundraisers to maintain their regular donations schedule and inspire new supporters through active outreach, program promotions and relationship development.

9. Create and maintain performance reports that can demonstrate steps taken and progress made to ensure visibility of the efforts required to reach each target.

10. Maintain donor records, files and database. Track and share reports for all donations.

11. Keep up with fundraising trends through active research and regularly introduce new concepts, methods and technology that will keep our fundraising activities at established objectives and growth levels. Learn and adapt to new systems, company specific computer programs and other new technology or processes to ensure that Four Star maintains its position as an industry leader.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum 2 years fundraising experience.

2. Minimum 2 years' experience in a customer service role or similar position.

3. Relevant college course work preferred.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS:

1. Lifting minimum of 30 lbs.

2. Employee may be exposed to temperatures that can be 10-20 degrees above outside temperatures seasonally.

3. Bulk of time is spent at a desk utilizing a computer
