Eco-Guide at P3 Lake Louisa

JOB DESCRIPTION: ECO-GUIDE

This role is excellent for outdoor-lovers looking for a way to spend more of their time outdoors! This is a part-time position, and is heavily reliant on excellent customer service skills. Our guides share our park with visitors in three different modalities: kayak, off-road segway, and on foot. If you are enthusiastic about customer service, have a deep love of the outdoors, and want a FUN part-time job, we'd love to talk with you!

DEPARTMENT: CUSTOMER SERVICE

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: To provide safe, entertaining, and informative Interpretive Guided Tours, while ensuring the safety of all participants. Work under the supervision of the General Manager to provide exceptional service to visitors. 

DUTIES:

·     Must be at least 18 years of age.

·     Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude at all times, even in stressful or unpleasant situations.

·     Provide pre-ride instructions to visitors, with a serious focus on safety.

·     Assist visitors before, during and after tours with equipment as necessary.

·     Guiding from front/rear/side while always maintaining control of your group.  

·     Exhibit proficiency in multiple tour modalities.

·     Willingness and aptitude to train in additional tour modalities.

·     Provide first aid and CPR as needed, while upholding the strictest BBP procedures.

·     Maintain a heightened awareness for safety, while communicating consistently with home base.

·     Interpret the surrounding environment according to approved script, while presenting a friendly and welcoming demeanor.

·     Willingness to learn and accurately use a variety of app based platforms.

·     Complete required logs and inspections.

·     Maintain professional service and approach visitors with courtesy and respect.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $13.50 - $14.50/hour.
