Form of workPerforms 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, Stress Echo, vascular ultrasound and cardiac Doppler echocardiography in the adult and geriatric patient population. Will be responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and vascular ultrasound in accordance with IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission). In collaboration with Management, assists in practice operations. Provides support in the development and implementation of departmental goals. The Supervisor may be assigned to multi-site physician practice as needed to provide operational support to Management.
REQUIRED:
- An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
- Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- An appropriate credential in vascular testing within 12 months of employment:
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography [RT(VS)]
- Certified in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (BCLS).
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Supervisory experience in a ambulatory setting
- Knowledge of methods, techniques and operating principles involved in the operation of various ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to perform with proficiency the skills and procedures designated.
