Form of workSchneider Electric is seeking an Electrical CAD Technician Intern starting January 2024 at our Raleigh, NC hub location. This intern will assist with data creation, product entry, and API design for a CAD program.
What will you do?
- Input and review requested product and design information
- Process electrical equipment information and designs into database
- Will read designs, blueprints, and datasheets to create in CAD software
- Job will entail inputting data, creating the 2D/3D parts, developing, and selecting schematic symbols
- Creation of 2D or 3D parts may be required in addition to contacting manufacturers for information
- Communicate with external content sources for requests and delivery of material
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Currently pursuing a technical degree in an engieering or similar field
- Available for a part-time internship during the spring semester
- Local to and/or attending school in the Raleigh area as we are not able to offer relocation or housing assistance for internships
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to understand manufacturing assembly drawings and datasheets
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
