We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiver to join our team. As a Receiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. If you have experience in receiving and are familiar with MRP systems, order picking, and forklift operation, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders
- Inspect and document any damages or discrepancies
- Accurately record received items into the AS400 system
- Organize and stock received items in the appropriate locations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other equipment as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the receiving area
- Assist with inventory counts as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Receiver or in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in using MRP systems for receiving and inventory management
- Ability to operate order picking equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document information
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities
- Knowledge of distribution center operations and procedures
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
