Summary:The Special Education Teacher is a member of the Early Intervention team at Child Development Watch in the State of Delaware. The Special Education Teacher ensures the implementation of evidence-based practices in providing direct Early Intervention Services with children and families. The Special Education Teacher is also a part of the evaluation team implementing evaluations with children ages birth to 3 years old identifying Early Intervention eligibility.
Some Essential Functions:
- Lead the implementation of evaluation tools that focus on the development of the child.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing the child's developmental levels/ progress and outcomes.
- Discuss and communicate with parents/caregivers the evaluation process, the results of the evaluation and the development of outcomes.
- Develop and analyze data for each child's outcomes.
- Use the State of DE data base to enter evaluation information.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education.
- One or more years' experience/coursework with focus on infants/toddlers.
- Experience working with infants and toddlers with disabilities, and their parents/caregivers
