Early Head Start Lead Teacher
$5,000 sign-on bonus
Do you have a passion to make a difference and positively impact young children and their families? At YCCAC Head Start, we are more than a daycare. We are committed to providing high-quality child care and comprehensive education, health and well-being services to children from 6 weeks to 5 years. We are now hiring a Lead Teacher to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive.

- $5,000 sign-on bonus payable in four installments ($1000 after completion of months 3, 6, 9 & $2000 after 1 year – external applicants only)

Your role:
- Partnering with families to develop child focused goals that meet individual needs
- Planning, implementing and documenting a comprehensive child development program suitable for infants and toddlers
- Building positive and supportive relationships with children and families
- Assuming responsibilities for primary caregiving to ensure continuity of care
- Coordinating the daily operations of the classroom while supervising the activities of 1 or more staff members
Qualifications: The successful candidate will:
- Have an Infant/Toddler CDA or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood (preferred)
- Have experience working with children in a center-based setting; prior experience working with families and supervising others preferred
- Be willing to work flexible hours to meet families’ needs
