Summary
The ideal candidate would be an ECE student or ECE professional with working knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. This person would provide nurturing and respectful curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities for children ranging in ages from one - two years old. Must be able to pass a background check and have a negative TB test. There are also required trainings that must be completed within 90 days of hire. Must also be willing and able to lift 40 lbs and perform light daily classroom maintenance. Please be goal oriented, flexible, a good communicator, and a team player!
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of curriculum activities and encourage participation by children.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, maintenance, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
One Year Experience in licensed childcare facility.
Pass fingerprinting background check
Negative TB Test
