Description
Come and work in a setting that balances remote and in-person office time with community engagement around topics impacting health, nutrition, and physical activity. Work with a dynamic team to educate and empower Early Childhood educators, families, and children on the importance of healthy lifestyle behaviors. The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan?s (NKFM?s) approach includes policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change, educational strategies, and prevention programs.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
? Recruit new early care and education centers across the state of Michigan.
? Plan, coordinate and implement Early Childhood and family programs.
? Support the implementation of a health and wellness learning framework for Early Childhood aged children, which supports children's wellbeing, learning and development.
? Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community partners and organize and attend community engagement activities.
? Coordinate and collaborate with team members and community partners for positive program implementation.
? Integrate nutrition, physical activity, farm to Early Childhood, oral health and breastfeeding educational efforts, focusing on increasing awareness regarding the prevention of kidney disease and promoting programs that are available, that improve the quality of life for people with and/or at risk of chronic kidney disease in high need communities.
? Follow program curriculum with fidelity and ensure requirements and program outcomes of grants/contracts.
? Train Early Childhood teachers/providers on health and wellness programs.
? Collect and enter program data.
