Early Childhood Music Teacher

Marble Music Studios is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Music Teacher to join our music faculty for our upcoming 2024-2025 Season.

We are currently hiring for our Early Childhood teacher position at our Lincoln location (6201 S. 58th Street) teaching the following two classes:

Early Childhood Class: Lead toddlers ages 18 mo-3 yrs along with their caregivers in songs, poems, books and musical exploration. Classes include use of rhythm sticks, shakers, drums, bells, etc. Teachers choose themes throughout the year to guide curriculum building.

My First Piano Adventures Preschool Class: Lead preschoolers (ages 3-5) in their first piano experience using Faber & Faber My First Piano Series as your curriculum guide. Students will sing, use rhythm instruments and studio keyboards to explore musical concepts. This is the perfect stepping stone from our toddler class to private music lessons.

These classes are scheduled on Saturday mornings at 9 am and 10:15 am.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Must be excited to work with our very youngest students and their families
• Commit to student rapport and growth throughout the entire 24 week class period.
• Foster a positive learning environment with a welcoming and kind personality
• Feel comfortable singing in a group setting as well as basic keyboard skills
• Develop innovative and age appropriate lesson plans using our curriculum flow outline
• Be prepared to teach weekly lessons by learning materials ahead of class time
• Provide excellent musical instruction and modeling during classes
• Studio management, including prompt communication via email and sharing any announcements during studio classes

Experience:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in music, Early Childhood education, music education or equivalent experience working with small children.
• At least one year of experience teaching in a group setting
• Strong record of working collaboratively in a team environment

Pay Rate:

• W-2 status
• $40 an hour for group classes
