Genesee IntermediateJob Summary: The Early Childhood Enrollment Facilitator oversees county-wide recruitment, eligibility, intake and enrollment of children and assure implementation of procedures to maintain integrity of state and federal enrollment. The Enrollment Facilitator communicates and collaborates with local school districts, sub recipients, Early On, Great Start Readiness Program, Head Start and community organizations routinely regarding eligibility and placements. The Enrollment Facilitator assures implementation in accordance to state and federal program requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. Coordinate Centralized Eligibility List (CEL) for timely replacement of children in collaboration with above mentioned stakeholders. The Enrollment Facilitator coordinates training and guidance to staff on a variety of pertinent enrollment topics.
Essential Duties (May include, but not limited to):
- Provides comprehensive intake, screening, referral and enrollment for state and federally funded pre-school and Early Childhood programs.
- Maintains record keeping and reporting systems, and procedures in accordance with designated state and federal program requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensures on-going monitoring, tracking, follow-up of applicants.
- Coordinate with program staff regarding eligibility, enrollment and communication with families.
- Supports full enrollment using the Centralized Eligibility List for timely replacement of children in collaboration with Early Childhood programs.
- Coordinates training and guidance to staff on a variety of pertinent enrollment topics.
- Coordinates communication with parents, program managers, staff, and program consultants to enhance program services.
- Participates in County-Wide recruitment efforts.
- Providing on-going professional development through education, role modeling, mentoring, and training.

Education:
Associates degree or bachelor's degree in Child Development, Social Work, Psychology or related Human Service Field preferred. CDA or High School Diploma with customer service experience
required.
Experience:
Minimum of one-year successful work in Early Childhood Care or Preschool setting preferred. One or more years' experience working in Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) or Head Start desirable.
Skills/Other:
Must be able to obtain Department of Human Services (DHS) approval, to pass a physical exam and to obtain a satisfactory criminal history check through fingerprinting. Knowledgeable of Early On, Great Start Readiness Program, and Head Start legislation and requirements; knowledge of Michigan Childcare Licensing rules. Ability to accept supervision and direction and work as a team member. Knowledge of various software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Power-Point, and Publisher. Ability to utilize district technology and maintain proficiency, as required skill sets change with technology and/or the needs of the district. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times. Ability to solve practical problems. Exhibit an interest and enthusiasm for working with low income families/children, peers, and representatives from local school districts and public agencies. Punctuality and good attendance are requirements for the position. Ability to work a flexible workday, work week, and work year. Exercises good judgment and makes decisions in accordance with board policies and established administrative guidelines.
