    Job Summary:
    The E3 Learning Teacher will serve as Teacher of Record for E3 Learning students for assigned grade level or content area(s). E3 Learning Teacher is instrumental in effectively delivering District curriculum content to students with varying levels of knowledge to provide a high-quality, well-rounded online learning experience.
    Essential Duties:
    • Instructs students in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of Oklahoma City Public Schools.
    • Develops lesson plans and supplementary materials compatible with the division’s basic instructional philosophy and congruent with course and SOL standards; provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student and subgroups of students. This should include synchronous and non-synchronous learning sessions via the Content Management System (CMS) platform.
    • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior to provide an orderly, productive online environment.
    • Evaluates academic and social growth of students, prepares progress reports, report cards, and keeps appropriate records to include attendance reports, checklists, census forms, and other recordkeeping activities as necessary.
    • Maintains control of storage and use of school property.
    • Evaluates each student’s growth in skills, knowledge and contribution.
    • Administers testing in accordance with department and district testing practices.
    • Models non-discriminatory practices in all activities.
    • Monitors student progress and proactively communicates with parents, counselors, administrators and other stakeholders in a positive and professional manner
    • Delivers differentiated instruction by augmenting course content via remediation, modification and enrichment within the CMS platform.
    • Identifies and facilitates support for student’s social/emotional intervention needs and follows District protocols for timely reporting and/or facilitation of support.
    • Follows and models professional and appropriate online use and behavior
    • Deliver prebuilt curriculum within the content management system
    • Actively participates in goal setting with the students on a minimum of a weekly basis.
    • Develop and maintain teacher student relationship through virtual platforms

    Other Duties:
    • Maintains professional competence by attending staff development programs, curriculum development meetings and other professional activities.
    • Participates in various student and parent activities which occur in school including student clubs and after-school activities.
    • Creates an effective learning environment through functional and attractive displays, interactive discussions, virtual resources, and engaging presentations.
    • Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Principal or other appropriate administrator.

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required):
    • Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or a related field and meet the Oklahoma Department of Education licensure eligibility requirements to teach assigned grade level or content area(s).
    • Must be eligible for, or in possession or an appropriate Oklahoma teaching license. Teachers paid with Title funds must possess an Oklahoma teaching license in the subject area.
    • Must possess ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents, and the public.
    • Must work cooperatively and collaboratively with others, demonstrate self-discipline, and initiative, and follow state and district guidelines.
    • Must possess the technical ability to proficiently navigate and instruct students in the use of online instructional tools.

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
