Internal Job Description
We have a need for an energetic Candidate for an E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Avionics technician Field Service Representative (FSR) assignment in based in Misawa Japan. This is a long-term position and requires a minimum two-year commitment in Japan. A valid US civilian passport is required to start. You will have face-to-face interaction with the Japan customer to discuss maintenance and operational activities. The Avionics FSR will support the customer providing technical advice, training, and troubleshooting assistance to organizational level maintenance technicians and leadership for operation and repair of the avionics systems in the E-2 aircraft. Identify and solve complex problems in the challenging environment of international squadron organizational level maintenance. Collaborate with teammates and use reach-back to NGC engineering for problem analysis and resolution. Support activities using approved Ground Operating Procedures and technical publications. You will generate and submit activities reports for management and follow export compliance guidance is the accomplishment of your duties. This is an accompanied position. Requires an active Secret security clearance to start. Selected candidate will be onboarded and provided initial familiarization and training (approximately 30 days) in Norfolk, VA before deploying to Misawa, Japan.

  • Candidate must have a strong systems knowledge (minimum of two-years' experience) on the E-2D Hawkeye aircraft to be able to Install, operate, maintain, repair and modify equipment as necessary.
  • Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on equipment installation, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
  • Minimum of two-years' experience on the use of Aviation Logistics Element (ALE) data to analyze and evaluate products and related performance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
  • Installs, upgrades, and removes products ensuring coordinated engineering field change.
  • Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
  • Required to provide Formal and On-the Job training to E-2D avionics shop personal.

Basic Qualifications
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 4 years of directly related work experience.
  • Must have an Active Secret DoD Security Clearance with ability to maintain the clearance for continued employment.
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Experience with E-2D Advanced Hawkeye avionics systems trouble shooting and repair.
  • Must have and maintain a Valid US civilian Passport.
  • Comprehensive written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to travel with customer when required.
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule to accommodate customer maintenance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Recent (within two year) US Navy E-2D Squadron maintenance experience

Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $93,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
