Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Performs systematic checks and inspections of plant equipment and assists in the established preventive maintenance program in order to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns, and general depreciation.
- Notifies the Method Coordinator about potential failures or out-of-standard operating conditions.
- Troubleshoot and corrective DC maintenance: if there is dust reported in an area, we get a call to find and correct the problem. Corrective maintenance includes changing bags, unplugging lines, balancing lines, cleaning out hoppers, etc.
- Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual inspections: these are maintenance routines that are documented and reported to the environmental department and the government.
- Perform inspection on kiln Bull Gear, Tyre, Ball Mill Bull Gear, and Hydrocool.
- Work as back-up Lubrication Technician.
- Mechanical work: Weld patches and repair Dust Collector pipes, replace and align fan bearings and belts, and clean fan runners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Plant 95% of time Extreme heat, cold, noise, vibrations.
- Office 5% of time behind a computer.
