SalaryTasks:
-Operate a large diesel pickup truck and pull a trailer while in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life according to all relevant legislation policies and procedures.
-Perform daily safety and maintenance checks and document findings.
-Clean trucks and associated equipment after tasks have been completed and ensure trucks and equipment is safely and securely stored.
-Insure loads are secure, during transport to prevent bins or debris from being dislodged.
-Insure area is clear and safe prior to loading and un-loading. Must be aware of any possible traffic or other unsafe conditions that may be present.
Maintain daily records of Delivery and pick-ups.
-Exit truck numerous times to load, un-load, and move trash dumpster containers and to make large item pick ups. This may include opening and closing gates.
-Works with and gives direction to a helper to safely load, unload, and move dumpster bins and make large item pick-ups. Communicate with supervisor concerning delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns, and other maintenance problems.
Skills:
-Must have valid California driver’s license.
-Must have a clean driving record
-Must have a smart phone on the job at all times
