Company Overview: A fast-growing business consulting firm in Provo, Utah, is seeking a Merger & Acquisition Due Diligence Specialist to play a crucial role in shaping its acquisition strategy and present insightful recommendations to the finance team.
Location: Provo, Utah (On-site four days per week, remote one day per week)
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 per year + benefits
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Due Diligence on potential acquisitions, including examination of financial statements, legal documents, and operational metrics.
- Liaise with target companies to gather necessary information, conducting thorough analyses and meticulous audits to assess the viability and risks of acquisitions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (HR, Legal, Tax, etc.) to ensure a holistic Due Diligence approach and seamless deal execution.
- Develop and present financial models and investment analyses, offering clear recommendations to senior management and the finance team.
- Coordinate and manage the deal closure process, ensuring compliance with legal standards and alignment with strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Due Diligence Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Due Diligence processes, including M&A audits and identifying financial, legal, operational, and compliance red flags.
- Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and financial modeling.
- Risk Mitigation: The ability to accurately interpret and analyze financial data to assess the viability and risks associated with a potential acquisition.
- Market Insight: Strong grasp of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential acquisitions' strategic fit. Ability to evaluate how an acquisition aligns with the company's strategic goals.
- Negotiation: Strong negotiation capabilities to secure favorable terms, address all parties' concerns, and drive the deal to closure.
- Relationship-building: Established credibility and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executives at all levels.
- Integrity and Professionalism: Ethical conduct and professionalism in all dealings, ensuring transparency, fairness, and respect for all parties involved.
