Purpose:
The Dual Language Coordinator (English/Spanish) is responsible for aligning and coordinating Dual Language programs in Tri-County, providing leadership and expertise on Dual Language education practices, providing professional development and coaching to teachers, and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders. They will have a high level of knowledge about research-based instructional strategies, second language acquisition, Spanish language arts standards, curriculum and assessment, and experience with modeling, coaching, and providing professional development in the area of Dual Language education. The Dual Language Coordinator will have excellent oral and written skills, be capable of managing multiple tasks, and work well with diverse groups of people. They will be bilingual and bi-literate in English and Spanish.

Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited four year college or university.
- Two years of experience or more
- Prefer experience in a nonprofit organization, Head Start/Early Head Start and/or Child care.
- Knowledge and experience in data collection, information processes and systems.
- Advanced computer skills (database management, spreadsheet, document, internet and e-mail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills, plus excellent organization skills.
- Must obtain a valid Iowa Driver’s License, proof of insurance and maintain it throughout the duration of employment.
- Must be cleared and allowed to work in a childcare setting by the Iowa Department of Human Services, by completing a State of Iowa Criminal History Record Check and FBI National Fingerprint Record Check.
