DSPS Test Proctor
Job Duties
An at-will hourly position, no more than 19.5 hours per week and no more than 175 days per fiscal year. Shifts will be assigned during our hours of operation (M-R 8:30am - 5:30pm and F 8:30am - 2:00pm).
Under the coordination of the DSPS Service Provider, the proctor will:
- Administer and proctor individual tests based on instructions provided by faculty; assist examinees in interpreting test instructions. Maintain a quiet atmosphere appropriate to testing.
- Keep accurate record of time started and ended as well as materials used during tests. Document any irregular behavior and restroom breaks.
- Process and maintain test materials in a confidential and secure manner and in accordance with established guidelines.
- Promptly notify DSPS Service Provider of any rule violations, unusual incidents, or any other factors that occur during the administration of the examination which may affect the security of or integrity of the administration of the examination, collaborate with faculty and or/staff to promptly resolve testing issues as they arise.
- Manage assistive technology as needed in the Testing Center or private room including MP3 players, noise cancelling headsets, computers, AT software and laptops.
- Perform related duties as directed.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Testing policies, procedures, and regulations
- Principals of testing accommodation American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Mathematical aptitude
- Modern office practice and procedures
- Record keeping techniques
Ability To:
- Demonstrate understanding of, sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, cultural, disability, religious background and sexual orientation of examinees, faculty and staff.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Operate a computer and other office equipment

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.52 - $19.45 per hour
Expected hours: 19.5 per week
