Humanity Personal Care Services is a Non- Medical Home Care Agency providing compassionate and dedicated caregivers to individuals and families in need of assistance in Philadelphia, Bucks County, Chester County, Delaware County and Montgomery County.
We are seeking Direct Support Professionals(DSP) to assist our individuals living with intellectual disabilities reach their goals, while encouraging their independence and building positive and meaningful relationships.

Essential Job Functions
Perform, assist, evaluate and document medical care, such as:
- Follow individual ISP Plans and support individual with achieving goals
- Basic first aid
- Ambulation, transfer and positioning with wheelchairs and other non-life support medical equipment and devices
- Prepare meals according to dietary and nutritional needs
- Care for individuals special conditions and needs within scope of authorized tasks
- Assists individuals with their daily living skills and independent community skills
- Utilize Person Centered Practices
- Completes training with individuals towards achieving ISP goals.
- Accompanies individuals to and from appointments and activities.
- Builds a support network between the individuals and community members.
Assist Individuals by modeling household management task , such as:
- General light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping
Observe and report significant changes in individuals condition
Qualification/Education Requirements:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license and private vehicle (Preferred)
- A Certified Nurse Aide or Certified Home Health Aide (Preferred). Certification must be current in the state of Pennsylvania
- Must pass complete physical and 2 step PPD test
- CPR/First Aide Certification (Preferred)
- Must satisfactorily complete Humanity Personal Care Services written exam and orientation program
- Must be able to function in a home setting with minimal direct supervision
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and document services provided
- Must be genuinely concerned about helping people and have high moral standards of honesty and integrity
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
