Dsp (Direct Support Professional)

Adult Residential Group Home

Bilingual is a plus

Must have DSP & Fingerprint Cleared
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team by understanding your assignment.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities and behaviors.
- Ability to lift walkers and wheelchairs if needed.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills
- Assist with transportation to appointments or community activities
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment

Skills:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience in medication administration is preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality guidelines
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Previous experience in assisted living, caregiving, childcare, social work, or nursing home settings is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
