DSP - Days, Evening and Overnight Shifts

Job Description:

The Arc of Monmouth serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in group homes, and day programs. We are seeking qualified Direct Support Professional candidates for Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem positions in our Monmouth County group homes and Adult Day programs.

Summary:

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the group home and day programs. DSPs assist residents with meal preparation, personal care, transportation, behavior management, and more. This is a challenging yet rewarding position.

Responsibilities:

• Teach, monitor, engage and assist residents in all activities of daily living and social interactions
• Implement methods and techniques to assist residents in attaining service plan objectives
• Transport residents to various appointments and activities
• Administer medications, as required
• Complete daily logs and written reports in electronic records systems

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 18 years or older
• Valid NJ Driver's License with 5 or less points(Not probationary)
• Computer skills
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred.'

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
