DSP - Days, Evening and Overnight Shifts

Job Description:

The Arc of Monmouth serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in group homes and day programs. We are seeking qualified Direct Support Professional candidates for full-time, part-time Time and Per Diem positions in our Monmouth County group homes .

Summary:

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the group home. DSPs assist residents with meal preparation, personal care, transportation, behavior management, and more. This is a challenging yet rewarding position.

Responsibilities:

• Teach, monitor, engage and assist residents in all activities of daily living and social interactions
• Implement methods and techniques to assist residents in attaining service plan objectives
• Transport residents to various appointments and activities
• Administer medications, as required
• Complete daily logs and written reports in electronic records systems

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 18 years or older
• Valid NJ Driver's License with 5 or less points(Not probationary)
• Computer skills
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferred.'

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• NJ Driver's License (Required)
