Job Description

  • Provides clinical services to court-mandated participants enrolled in the Orleans Parish Drug Court Program Intensive Outpatient Program.
  • Facilitates group counseling sessions (focused on addressing addiction and criminogenic needs), individual counseling sessions, and/or family therapy as outlined in the participants’ treatment plans.
  • Participates in weekly staff meetings with the Clinical Supervisor to provide an update on participant’s progress towards their treatment goals
  • If requested by a Judge, attends weekly Drug Court Status Hearings and provides clinical recommendations to the Court.
  • Maintains clinical case files for each participant, including case notes and attendance notes.
  • Maintain an awareness of Drug Court best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Applicant must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). Provisionally licensed individuals are ineligible for this position.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling or Clinical Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Skilled in individual and group therapy modalities.
  • Experience in substance abuse treatment modalities preferred.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of substance use disorders and mental health disorders.
  • Proficient written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be creative and flexible within parameters of treatment programs and modalities.
  • This is a contracted position in which applicants are paid an hourly rate for each hour of clinical services provided. No benefits are included. Hourly rate: $45.00 per clinical hour.  

    10 Hours Per Week x $45.00 per hour 

    Group Schedule - Thu 10am-1pm, 1:30pm-3:30pm and 4:30pm-6:30pm 

                                     Fri 9:30am - 12:30pm 

  • Consistent, guaranteed weekly group schedule.
  • All contract employees are subject to the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures, and Safety Manual.
