Drone Pilot

Position Summary:

Responsible for capturing high-quality aerial imagery of our assets. Operates drones, executes flight plans, and edits footage to create compelling visual presentations. FAA Part 107 certification and a proven track record in aerial photography/videography are required. Reports directly to the Director of Marketing.

Essential Duties:

• Operate drones to capture aerial photography and video footage of our properties and assets.
• Follows rules and regulations in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration under Part 107 guidelines.
• Plan and execute drone flights to ensure the safe and efficient capture of imagery.
• Edit and enhance aerial photography and video footage to produce high-quality visual content.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver content that meets or exceeds expectations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot drone equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in drone technology, aerial photography, and videography.
• Ensure that all marketing activities are in alignment with the company brand, vision, and strategy.
• A reliable means of transportation and a current valid driver’s license.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills:

• Active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification is mandatory.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a Drone Pilot, preferably in a professional setting.
• Demonstrated track record of successful aerial photography and/or videography projects.
• Proficiency in operating drones and familiarity with DJI drone models, software and equipment.
• Experience with editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of photography and videography principles, including composition, lighting, and framing.
• Experience working in the real estate industry or related field may be preferred but not always required.

• Prior experience in creative content writing

Technical Knowledge

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations concerning multi-family and commercial real estate marketing best practices, fair housing, DJI Software, Video Editing, Photo Editing, Adobe Creative Suite, Content Management Software, Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media Platforms.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret data, policy and procedure manuals and professional journals. Ability to write business correspondence and creative copy. Ability to effectively present information verbally and respond to questions from executive leadership, managers, residents, staff and members of the general public effectively and appropriately.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to calculate amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, and volume.

Computer Skills

Proficient in the use of current word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to use database applications, including web-based applications. Must be able to perform Internet research.
