Job Duties & Responsibilities:
As a Lead Driver, you will oversee, lead, monitor, and manage a team of drivers. The lead driver will motivate and inspire the team by fostering an atmosphere that supports good communication, team bonding, and flexibility. The Lead Driver will develop strong connections with the team and customers, be goal-driven, and efficiently manage the team's day-to-day tasks. The lead driver must have a proven track record of team motivation and great outcomes.
- Regularly lead, guide, and assist other drivers to help them complete duties on time and effectively.
- Train and train all new drivers on all aspects of the job, such as pre-and post-trip inspections, standard operating procedures, and job expectations.
- Maintain constant communication with management and clients.
- Assist truck drivers with minor mechanical breakdowns (flat tires, lift gates, check engine lights, etc.)
- Inspect all cabs at random to confirm cleanliness and overall fitness for duty.
- Provide progress reports, evaluate team members' performance, and discuss project goals with management and the team.
- Serve as a guide by answering questions, offering insight, organizing responsibilities, and interacting with decision-makers.
- Able to set a great example for people around them and frequently rise in their jobs due to outstanding work performance.
- Adhere to corporate policies and ensure that team members do as well.
- Meetings are organized and planned by leaders, who also discuss project logistics, assign responsibilities, set targets, address concerns, and solve difficulties. It is necessary to be able to coordinate team members and allocate work.
- Act as a bridge between team members and their managers.
- Maintaining current industry trends and demonstrating honesty.
- Maintain an inclusive, compassionate, fair, and strong attitude toward their position.

Education:
- High School Diploma
Qualifications:
- Excellent Communication Skills and strong attention to detail
- A trustworthy, honest, and moral person with a great attitude and willingness to learn
- Prompt, professional, and dependable demeanor
- Communication and soft skills are a must
- Valid CDL and general knowledge of FMCSA Laws and Regulations (Clearinghouse)
- Minimum of 3-5 Years of experience in the waste industry with DOT-regulated positions
- Minimum of 1-3 Years of leadership experience
- Experience with Word, Excel, and tracking applications
