Driver (Non-Cdl) - New, Unique Franchise Compactor Truck

Seeking an experienced and capable truck driver and hydraulic equipment operator. Freightliner M2 truck fitted with one of a kind trash compaction equipment. Driver must be capable of competently driving the truck and operating the hydraulic machinery (easy to learn) in an effective way to crush trash in open top dumpsters.

The service is route-based and the truck will have to be driven to each dumpster location and the trash fully compacted in each dumpster. Must be capable of backing up and lining the truck up with a dumpster to fit perfectly in position. Personal experience with hydraulic equipment is not a requirement but would be a plus. Technical knowledge and experience with engine and hydraulic machinery maintenance is also a huge plus.

For this position the driver will also be working closely with a sales representative to conduct free demonstrations of the vehicle's service. Must be comfortable with working as a team to complete sales visits successfully.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in 5 day, pre-opening training period in Louisville KY
• Conduct daily vehicle checklist before beginning service route
• Drive to dumpster location and back truck up to the open-top container dumpster
• Operate hydraulic arm with compactor drum in the dumpster and compact trash
• Operate wireless tablet to keep track of route, manage service requests, take pictures of services rendered, and add/remove new business prospects
• Return truck to its storage location at the end of the work day
• Must be comfortable with wearing PPE when required.

**Important: Driver should be personable, outgoing, and comfortable with talking to business owners who might be interested in using the service. Looking for someone to represent the brand well and to present a friendly demeanor towards others.**

**Must be okay with adhering to franchise uniform standards. (Collared shirt with company logo, khaki work pants/jeans, boots)**

**CDL not required but preferred**

Hourly Rate

Base Rate: $23-$25/hr

(based heavily on previous truck driving experience and ability to conduct sales)

Schedule

8 hours a day, 5 days a week minimum

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
