We are currently seeking a Professional Drive-Away Driver who holds a CDL A or B License. The purpose of this position is to provide safe, courteous, and efficient delivery of semi-tractors throughout our dealership and customer network.

M&K has locations across Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Pennsylvania. We pick up and deliver commercial vehicles all across the country. We have large workload and a constant flow of equipment.
We are looking for drivers with experience in the drive-away industry who are interested in supplementing their income. It would be preferable to own your own tow vehicle to make getting around easier, however, M&K will cover rental and hotel expenses when applicable.
This option could supplement your role with other drive-away companies and could help find return trips in different areas. The extra option could never hurt!
This is a 1099 part time on-call role. We will call you when we need a truck delivered or you can call and inquire about our current workload. You can either accept or decline the run.
No per month minimum – take as many or as little runs as you prefer.
Essential Functions
- Must have full knowledge and compliance with all applicable DOT rules and safety guidelines.
- Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and reports any discrepancies indicating truck condition to supervisor.
- Transport vehicles (sleepers, day cabs, dump trucks, box trucks, cab and chassis) from customers or dealership and deliver to assigned destination
- Preferably own towable vehicle – M&K towable vehicle has limited availability
- Road expenses (rental car, tolls, hotel, fuel, etc.) are reimbursed by M&K with proper receipts
- Ensuring client’s needs are met in a professional and courteous manner, i.e. calling clients ahead of schedule to let them know when you will arrive etc.
- Perform related duties, or other duties as assigned by supervision.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Present a valid CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with no restrictions; additionally, your Motor Vehicle Report must be clean.
- Must have a current DOT medical certification.
- Must be able to perform certain physical tasks - hooking/unhooking trailers and towable vehicles, securing straps, up/down and in/out of vehicles, and other manual tasks related to transport
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug tests and, as required by the DOT, a physical.
