Driller-OSP

Salary: $27-$33/hour

We are looking for an Outside Plant (OSP) Driller/Equipment Operator to play a crucial role in our field operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating drilling equipment for the installation of underground utilities, with a focus on OSP projects. This position requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, equipment maintenance, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:

• Operate drilling equipment for the installation of underground utilities in accordance with project specifications.
• Perform pre-operation equipment checks to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance needs.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to achieve project goals and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs and equipment maintenance reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to project schedules and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an OSP Driller/Equipment Operator in the telecommunications or utility industry.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of drilling equipment operations and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Safety certifications such as OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid are a plus.
