Drill Rig Operator – $38 - $45 p/h + Benefits – Olathe, KS / Richmond, KY

The Role

Do you possess experience with drill rigs or similar machinery and like being hands on with your day-to-day work? If so, we are looking for you.

Hayes Drilling Inc. is recognized as the leading drilled shaft and excavation support contractor in Mid-America. We are looking to appoint a Drill Rig Operator to work on a variety of drilling projects. The successful candidate will have experience operating different types of drill rigs and will be able to carry out all assigned tasks safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of a Drill Rig Operator include, but are not limited to:

• Operate heavy construction hydraulic drill equipment to dig deep foundations, secant piles, micro-piles, etc
• Set up and operate drilling rigs according to specifications provided by the customer or project manager.
• Collect samples of rock and soil, and document information such as depth and location.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating heavy machinery.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Drill Rig Operator are:

• Five years’ operating experience (Bauer, Soilmec and Watson drill rig experience beneficial).
• Experience with drill rigs or similar machinery.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Must be willing to travel.
