Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Drainage Intern, we'll count on you to:
Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' program
Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
Assist in hydrology and hydraulic calculations for larger Southern California transportation projects
Assist in researching and creating existing utility CAD files
Prepare Drainage and Utility Exhibits in MicroStation and AutoCAD
Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering BSC program (or equivalent degree)
Attention to detail a must
Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
Basic Microsoft Office skills
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
MicroStation and/ or AutoCAD drafting experience
Completed drainage and/ or transportation related coursework

The expected compensation range for this position is $21.000 - $25.00 hourly depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
