Door Host/Security

The Sandbox is hiring a Door Host/Security! We are looking for a friendly personality, a willingness to go above and beyond and an understanding to keep the peace between all customers. Some of the duties will be addressing intoxicated guests, checking valid IDs, bussing tables, and securing the venue from any potential trouble. A guard that has a warm presence and visible awareness of everything that is going on, would be the ideal candidate.

SKILLS

- Knowledge of checking valid state IDs, International Passports, noticing fakes

- Noticing possible action avoiding emergency situations or personal injuries
- Monitoring the venue by moving around checking overall flow of customers

- Bussing tables, emptying trash bins, checking guest restrooms when needed
- An ability to judge and communicate well with people to reduce the need for

physical intervention etc.

- Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to new direction from management

- Confidence to confront and diffuse interactions that are putting the safety of our staff and/or customers in jeopardy including but not limited to intoxication, threats, and/or weapons of any kind.

REQUIRMENTS
-Must be at least 21 years of age
-Needs a BSIS Guard Card or equivalent. If you do not have one at the time of applying we will need to have an active case of one ongoing by 14 days from the initial job offer.

Pay will be determined by the level of experience. Most shifts are evening (PM) based except for weekends where the hours are extended over most of the day. Thursday through Sunday availability is a with opportunities for more shifts during the week based on performance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
