Job Description
We are looking for a Service Technician to join our Access Control, Gate, and Door Company. Today, we install and service sliding and swinging doors, as well as an array of sensors, controls and security options. We service and install access control systems and automatic gates.
The successful applicant will perform service as required for all Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment as may be sold or serviced by the company.

JOB DUTIES:
- Performing service/installation repair work and preventative maintenance as required for All Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment.
- Maintaining accurate work records, adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log
- Keeping manuals up to date, and maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in accordance with established procedures
- Presenting neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies
- Testing equipment before leaving job site and perform safety check
- Maintaining good customer relations and customer service
- Assisting others in install/service methods and other duties as may be required
- Other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Prior experience in the automated door industry including swinging, sliding or automatic gates would be a definite asset
- Diploma in a related carpentry, electrical, mechanical, industrial field or the equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Prior construction experience
- AAADM Certification would be an asset
- Ability to work outside in various climate conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Must be capable of meeting the following physical demands including, but not limited to: lifting or carrying weights form 50-75 lbs, sitting while driving for periods of up to 3 hours, standing on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling and twisting spine occasionally
- Ability to work around the following conditions: moving vehicles, object, hazardous machinery, sharp tools cluttered floors, slippery floors, electrical hazards, poor lighting and wet conditions;
- Ability to work independently and within teams
- Good oral and written communication skills
Requirements:
- Welding experience is PLUS
- AAADM Certification is a HUGE plus
