The Community Food Bank of New Jersey (CFBNJ) is the state’s largest food bank. We provide food for 15 out of 21 New Jersey counties. Distributing over 85 million meals last year, maintaining pandemic service levels. Our mission is to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long term solutions. Hunger exists in every community from the poorest to the most affluent.
The Community Foodbank of New Jersey is looking for a Donor Services Associate. As a member of our Donor Services team, you will be the frontline representative to donor questions and an integral member of our Resource Development department. You will be on the frontline of donor inquiries, responding in a timely manner to questions and requests for donation information. The Donor Services Associate will work with other members of the Resource Development team to code gifts and secure documentation, perform database cleanup as needed and learn all aspects of Donor Services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Prepare batches for entry in Salesforce database.
· Assist with answering calls, responding to donor inquiries and requests in a timely manner, opening and sorting incoming mail daily.
· Scan documentation and uploading to shared document files.
· Perform database clean-up as needed.
· Process and entering credit card donations and ACH transfers through a secure virtual terminal.
· Prepare and sending donor acknowledgement letters and other donor communications, as needed.
· Prepare daily validation reports for batches and delivering them to Finance department.
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Experience providing customer service a plus.
· Knowledgeable to proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365, Word and Excel.
· Experience data entry in Salesforce or other databases preferred, but not required.
· Excellent phone and communication skills.
· Ability to work well in a team and adapt to new concepts.
· Ability to be creative and show flexibility when handling donor/team member requests and issues.
