Manage all aspects of direct service programs of the agency as assigned by the Executive Director, to include the supervision of staff and the management of the development and delivery of program services. This includes assessment of the delivery of client services, program oversight, and database management. The Director of Programs will also manage the implementation of state standards requirements and grant reporting. Work is guided by the rules and policies of the agency.
JOB DUTIES:Provides management and supervision of program operations for Domestic Violence and sexual assault services, oversees all case work activities; assists in developing and coordinating community resources for agency consumers. Leads the agency staff in the management and implementation of program services to include case work services, crisis intervention, statistical data collection, grant reporting, planning for disaster situations, and facility management and upkeep. Provides crisis intervention and supportive services as needed to support direct services staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:At least four years management experience in social services or victim services to include personnel management; and a working knowledge of the laws relating to domestic and sexual violence. Should have crisis intervention and direct services experience to include case management. Should have a working knowledge of the problems and practices of residential program administration and organizational methods and use of systems and resources that facilitate the effective management of direct services. Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing and have the ability to plan, direct, and review the work of professional and support staff; and the ability to train and supervise agency employees in professional case work principles and techniques. Must have a good driving record with a valid Alabama driver’s license and proof of current automobile liability insurance. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs.
