Our Hamburg, NY office is hiring a Domestic Dispatcher. This is a full-time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer that consists of the following:
Domestic Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Build and tender loads to truckers based on capacity and rate to ensure timely delivery as specified by customer request.
• Ensure all details of transport meet both the customer and supplier requirements.
• Accurately enter detailed notes to the load in SAP and advise all pertinent personnel of any changes that occur via email and/or phone (Yard/ Mill, Sales assistant, and Sales person).
• Assist and/or handle any issues that may occur throughout the domestic process.
• Track and confirm shipment status throughout the transport process, specifically pickup and delivery events.
• Work with Sales, Phytos and Invoicing team when needed.
• Work with existing carrier base along with 3PL’s to achieve customer service expectations and management of rates.
• Foster existing business relationships with carrier partners and enhance carrier base when needed.
• Utilize DAT for benchmarking rates/negotiations in day-to-day operations.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports and duties as instructed.
• Open v Shipped Load Spreadsheet
• FO Status
• Domestic Phyto Status report
• Warehouse Freight Rate
• Certificate of Insurance
• Regional Load Status report
• Initial Regional carrier vetting
• Mustang load recap
• Assist other Team member and departments as necessary.
• Phytosanitary form check-in
• Domestic Trucker invoicing
• Export Coverage as needed

Customer Service and Building Relationships

• Dispatcher is expected to provide kind and courteous service via phone, email and in person.
• Build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, and co-workers.
• Every email actioned on within 15 minutes, every phone call must be answered in 3 rings.
• Comfortable interacting at all levels in the organization: managers, sales people, sales assistants, vendors, and trucking companies.

• Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Salary: $58,458 - $65,000
• The advertised pay range represents what Baillie Lumber Co. believes we would anticipate paying for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be compensated at the top of the range for a position as candidates must possess experience and qualifications that far exceed the requirements.*
