Salary- Provide daily care and attention/enrichment to animals in the kennel facility and daycare
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
- Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
- Administer medications as directed
- Walk dogs and provide exercise and socialization
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Assist with dog training activities, including basic obedience commands and behavior modification techniques
- Provide compassionate care for sick or injured animals
- Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications administered, and any observed changes in behavior or health
Skills
- Experience in dog training/handling is preferred
- Knowledge of animal care practices and procedures
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with pet owners
- Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time
- Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff members

Pay: $16.28 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
