Weekend/Flex Doggy Daycare Attendant

Biscuits Pet Place is a full service Doggy Daycare that offers boarding and grooming. Biscuits has been providing exceptional care and service to our clients in Federal Way and the surrounding areas for the last 16 years. We are currently looking to add 1 skilled member to our staff.

Fri-Mon: We are looking to hire someone to work Fri-Mon. Fridays are 10am to 2:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays are 6am-6:30pm(depending on the number of boarders we have), and Mondays are 10am-2:30pm. Saturdays and Sundays can vary a little based on the number of dogs we have for boarding. It is required to take the dogs out morning, noon, and evening. During the busier months in the summertime you likely will do 10-11 hour shifts. When it is slow, it will be necessary break it up into shorter shifts. If you have any questions about that, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss it further. Please note that you will be required to work a few holidays per year.

Responsibilities and Duties: Friday and Monday shifts are mid-day shifts so you will be responsible for helping cover lunches and monitoring the dogs in the daycare room as well as various other tasks that need to be completed throughout the day. The weekend shift requires you to be independent and able to work on your own without constant direction. Your primary concern on the weekends is taking care of our boarding dogs. You must be comfortable monitoring small to medium groups of dogs on your own. You will also be interacting with clients over the weekend. We allow pick up and drop off during specific time frames so you will be responsible for check ins and outs as well as money transactions and answering the phones and taking messages. Once the boarders have all been cared for, you will be expected to do some cleaning. We try to do any extra or deep cleaning on the weekends since we do not have daycare. We like to keep our facility clean and orderly at all times.

Requirements: In order to be considered for this position we have a set of requirements. All applicants must have at least 1 year of experience working in a Doggy Daycare, boarding kennel, or any occupation involving the care of large groups of dogs. Applicants must also have a reliable source of transportation to and from work. The ability to lift up to 50lbs, clean up any and all animal bodily waste, and the ability to work alone are also required. Working a few holidays per year is also required.
