Dog Walker/Pet Sitter

We are seeking responsible, independent, energetic animal lovers with great people skills to provide professional pet care services in our clients' homes.

Paws In Action, LLC is a professional pet sitting and dog walking company based in Albuquerque, NM and surrounding area. For the past 14 years our team has been helping clients care for their family pets in our clients' homes. Whether they're on vacation, traveling for work, or away from home at a regular 9-5 job, someone needs to be there for their pets to ensure they're fed, taken for a walk, and given the love and attention they deserve. That person can be you!

This is a great opportunity for recent graduates, college students, stay at home parents, veterinary students, and animal lovers of all kinds. You will be assigned clients within the Albuquerque area and surrounding.

Job Description

We care for our client's dogs, cats, and pets of all kinds in their own homes. Applicants must be available for all of these positions.

• Pet Sitters: 20 mins, 30 mins and 1hr visits Morning, Noon, and Night
• Dog Walkers: 30 minute to 1 hour dog walks between 9am-3pm weekdays
• Overnight Pet Sitting: 12 hour visits overnight and stay throughout the day without leaving un-supervised pets for more than 4-5hrs per day

• Feeding & Providing Water
• Litter box cleaning
• House Sitting

Requirements

• Interested in working with us for at least one year or more
• Capable of walking two dogs at a time for 30 minutes or an hour
• Consistent hours of availability
• An insured vehicle, with proof of license and registration
• Responsible, organized and pays attention to small details
• Must own a smart-phone that takes great quality photos, has the ability to access the internet and post to social media
• Must own their own computer
• Experience with large dogs that pull and/or reactive dogs is a HUGE plus!
• Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
• Available on Holidays including Thanksgiving & Christmas, etc

Experience*

Working or volunteering with any of the following is desired but not required:

Animal Shelter, Humane Society, Pet Fostering, Dog Training, Pet Store, Grooming, Pet Sitting Professionally, Veterinary Tech or Office, or Farm Animal.
*Experience with any of these would be helpful, but is not necessary

Compensation

Varies based on the number of pets in a client's home. Average is $12.00 - $14.00 per pet visit/dog walk. Overnight Pet Sitting service are from $20-$30 per night.
