Doggy Lama Pet Care offers a positive-reinforcement (R+)-oriented pet care experience to support families in the East Bay (Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, and Alameda). The position:

Professional Dog Walker employee who will relish the challenge and joy of walking dogs privately in the neighborhood or groups of up to six dogs outside in nature. Most staff members work no more than 5-6 hours per day, 25-30 hours per week.

Compensation:

$20-23 / hour (DOE)
$1300-$2900 / month (depending on performance and availability)

The ideal candidate:

• An honest, patient, and enthusiastic person with a strong understanding of safety and time management.

• Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude and a desire to learn are just as important.

• They should enjoy an active work environment, working independently and outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

• Above-average verbal and written communication skills to communicate with staff, the general public, clients, and the office.

• A positive "can-do" attitude-extra consideration for those with professional social media experience, the ability to change a flat tire, or jump a car battery.
