Dog Handling Specialist

Pet Camp is currently hiring for a full-time Dog Handling Specialist to work with and train dogs that need special care in the San Francisco, CA area. This position earns a starting competitive wage of $21.00 per hour, with a salary review after 90 days based on performance.

DAY-TO-DAY

As a Dog Handling Specialist, you are vital to the operations of our company! Your main priority is to provide a fun, challenging, growth-oriented environment for canines that cannot do traditional group play activities. You keep each animal active and engaged, both mentally and physically, during their boarding and daycare visits. You are prepared to learn and apply positive reinforcement training methods for our animals.

When customers bring their animals in, you discuss their pets with them to get an idea of their specific needs. As you work with each pet, you get to know them and their behavior and fine-tune your training methods and activities accordingly. You love working with animals every day and get great satisfaction from helping each dog!

REQUIREMENTS FOR A DOG HANDLING SPECIALIST

• 2+ years of experience in the pet care industry
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Must have a valid driver's license
