Dog Handler

Emmy's Barking Lot is a daycare where we specialize in working with ALL breeds and temperaments. We don't just watch the dogs; we work with them every day to help each dog have the best experience possible.

Your Day to Day Duties will include:

• Working/handling different breeds and temperaments.
• Training dogs on basic command work
• Helping low confidence dogs feel safe and happy at school!
• Reading dog body language and anticipating unsafe behaviors
• Monitoring all dogs health and behaviors
• Cleaning
• Working both inside and outside in all weather

We are looking for:

• A team player who is able to communicate with their coworkers & management
• A reliable employee! Having your own transportation is a MUST
• Someone who is able to multitask and keep busy at all times
• Someone able to handle high stress situations
• An employee who is excited to learn new skills and adaptable to an ever changing environment.

Professional experience is a bonus but we are able to train people who are passionate about the job. Please note that owning your own dogs does NOT count as professional experience.
