About Us | The Watering Bowl
Are you the type of person who goes to a party, sees a dog and spends the rest of the night with the dog instead of the people? Do you talk fluent baby dog language?
We think you’ll fit right in. We are a group of animal lovers who choose to celebrate the unconditional love that dogs provide, along with the mindset of being here and now and to remember that every day can be the best day ever. Not only do we choose to celebrate dogs, but we choose to celebrate and accept each other as well as our customers. This is a place of acceptance and understanding. Now, do you have to like each other every day? Nah. However, our values include compassion and acceptance so if these do not align with you we may not be right for you.
The Watering Bowl is a place not only for animal lovers, but people who want to be a part of the change in the lives of both dogs and their owners. While dogs are at the heart and soul of the dog park, we want owners to have a great experience too! This world can be too busy and too fast paced, so this is a chance for owners to not have to make the choice of whether they can have fun and relax or if their dogs get exercise. The Watering Bowl is meant for dogs and owners alike, so if you know you can provide a great and happy experience to owners as well, then you’re in the right place.
Our mission: To be a space where anyone can think and love like a dog: in the moment and unconditionally.
Our company values: compassion, acceptance, humility, accountability, celebrating the unabashedly and wholly you-nique YOU.
Rufferees
As a rufferee, you may just have the best job in the world… playing with dogs! Although we will admit there is more to the job than that. You will be trained in dog behavior and safety so you are able to appropriately recognize ruff play versus aggressive play. You will also know how to spot if a dog is getting agitated with another dog and if there is potential of escalation into a dog fight. Most importantly is your safety as well as that of all patrons, human and dog alike. With this in mind, you will also be trained how to break up a fight in a way that protects you first and foremost. The safer you are the faster you can stop fights which means the less damage (if any) can be inflicted between dogs.
We also won’t dogshit you - you’ll be responsible for keeping the park clean which will at times include doing some poop scoopin’. General area maintenance as required will be a part of your responsibilities as well.
