Dog Groomer (Immediate Hiring) At Puppy Boutique Las Vegas

Puppy Boutique Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV is looking for temporary / part-time junior Dog Groomer (Immediate Hiring) to join our 10 person strong team for 3 months. We are located on 4343 North Rancho Drive Suite 244. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged.

Position Summary: 

The Pet Stylist’s major responsibility is to maintain the physical appearance of the puppies for sale at the store, including brushing and cutting the fur, clipping nails, cleaning ears, bathing, drying and finally styling the fur. The Pet Stylist is also responsible for grooming dogs from outside pet owners.

Job Skills and Requirements: 

• Compassion: Dogs often get stressed out in unfamiliar situations, and the Pet Stylist should need to understand this and treat them accordingly.
• Attention to Detail: The Pet Stylist must pay attention to what they are doing, so that the puppies/dogs stay safe and the grooming comes out looking great.
• Stamina: Always are on their feet for long periods of time, sometimes hunched over animals during the grooming process.
• High Standard of Cleanliness: Keeping the grooming facility and grooming tools clean and sanitized at all times

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Primary responsibility is to ensure that all pets in our facility are clean and ready to move to its forever home.
• Combs, clips, trims, and shapes dogs' coats to groom dogs, using knowledge of canine characteristics and grooming techniques and styles: Reads written or receives oral instructions to determine clipping pattern desired.
• Talks to dog or uses other techniques to calm animal
• Sanitizing all of the clippers, combs, brushes and other tools used on pets to prevent spreading of diseases
• Must maintain a safe and sanitary work area to mitigate risks to both human and pets
