**Job Description**:

As a Kennel Attendant at Hounds Town Allentown, you will be responsible for the day-to-day care of our canine guests. This includes feeding, administering medication (if needed), cleaning kennels, supervising playtime, and ensuring the overall well-being of the dogs in our care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide food and water to dogs according to a preset schedule and dietary needs.

- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.

- Monitor group play to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all dogs.

- Assist with intake and discharge of pets, including recording any special needs or instructions.

- Observe animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the supervisor or veterinarian.

- Engage with dogs to provide companionship and basic training.

- Perform bathing and grooming tasks as needed.

- Assist in maintaining accurate records of each dog’s care and activity.

**Requirements**:

- Genuine affection for dogs and a strong desire to work in the animal care field.

- Experience in a pet care facility is preferred but not required.

- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.

- Good communication and customer service skills.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift at least 50 pounds.

- Must have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

- High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $12.41 - $12.80 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
