Responsibilities
- Provide tier 3 escalation support, problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of enterprise-level internal and external configuration and network issues
- Manage package repositories and patch management for development and production systems
- Ability to audit and apply DoD STIGs and C&A reporting through system provisioning and scripting
- Coordinate testing, upgrades and configuration of systems and services to ensure changes are in accordance with change control procedures
- Write scripts to automate server management, operations, and testing
- Create detailed documentation and technical papers for system configuration, operational procedures, and testing
Requirements
- An active DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance (or active within the past 2 years)
- Hybrid work schedule 1-2 days a week on site
- 4+ years of information technology experience and administering Red Hat, CentOS 6/7 and Solaris servers
- Experience in Linux system administration, configuration, integration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Linux commands, applications and security configuration
- Ability to script in a UNIX language (bash, perl, python, etc.)
Desired
- Experience supporting virtual Linux environments
- Familiar with Domain Name Server administration (ability to perform analysis of DNS resolution issues and provide recommendations)
- Knowledge of classified computer facility operational procedures
- Knowledge of DoD Security Policies
