Job Title: Document Management Analyst II

Job Summary:

Are you passionate about promoting civil rights and making a tangible impact? Join our dynamic team at the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York as a Document Management Analyst II. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of the civil rights enforcement efforts, contributing to meaningful change and justice.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing and processing documents and case footage obtained during investigations or turned over during litigation discovery, preparing demonstrative exhibits and aiding attorneys in court proceeding
  • Researching, collecting, and analyzing data, including from publicly available sources and websites; developing metrics, statistics and other tracking methods to measure and assess the data; creating and maintaining databases and constructing complex database queries; converting complex data into easily comprehensible reports, PowerPoint presentations and other data visualizations to identify investigation targets and for litigation purposes
  • Participating in and conducting witness interviews and writing memoranda encapsulating the information obtained
  • Analyzing incoming information to identify violations of federal civil rights laws and opportunities for enforcement
  • Conducting site visits to gauge compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and other federal civil rights statutes
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to Assistant U.S. Attorneys and staff and participating in strategy meetings
  • Organizing electronic evidence using review platforms such as Excel, Access, Palantir, Concordance and Relativity
  • Preparing fact sheets, talking points, educational resources, presentations, and other materials
  • Fostering productive relationships with community organizations, public officials, law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders
  • Attending and coordinating meetings, visits, and other outreach events
  • Working collaboratively with Assistant U.S. Attorneys and legal support staff

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • US citizenship
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing information, providing written reports and analysis, and developing documents for motion and trial
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn and use mapping software to identify patterns of discrimination and create heat maps
  • Knowledge of Excel, Access, Palantir, Concordance, and Relativity

Work Setting and Environment:

  • Monday - Friday, normal working hours
  • Work is to be performed at the United States Attorney Offices Eastern District of New York, Brooklyn, NY
