Steeped in a tradition of hydropower, American Hydro is a leading supplier and installer of large equipment for the hydro electric industry, specializing in design, engineering, precision CNC manufacture, upgrades and servicing of high-performance, hydro-turbines and large pumps.
We are currently looking for a Document Control Specialist to add to our team located at our York, PA facility. We are a tight-knit group that takes a great deal of pride in what we produce. Job DescriptionThe Document Control Specialist will prepare internal document releases and external transmittals. On-time completion of tasks, accuracy, and attention to detail in document submittals is important. The Document Control Specialist should be capable of self-checking their work. A willingness and capacity to learn and adapt is required.
Essential Functions Performed by the Position
- Commit to work under the company’s core values that include: a “One Team” mindset, open communication, continuous improvement, and a commitment to provide solutions to our customers.
- Convert CAD drawings to PDF format and file in appropriate project directories
- Prepare engineering release notices (ERNs) and create customer transmittals using AH drawing database software
- Print and distribute internal drawings and documents
- Maintain transmittal logs as required to satisfy contract requirements
- Update drawing statuses in engineering workscope spreadsheets and/or engineering schedules
- Order engineering and print room supplies as needed
- Support additional project requirements as needed for Project Management, Proposals, Procurement, and Operations.
- Satisfy ISO Quality Standards as it relates to the design function
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Attention to detail, teamwork abilities, communication skills, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Office 365, Siemens NX preferred but not required
- Technical computer skills; Collaboration skills; Analytical skills; Adaptability
- Document Management; Document Control; Compliance
Required Education and Experience
- Associate Degree preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
