Ambrx Biopharma, Inc. is a clinical-stage biologics company focused on discovering and developing a novel class of specific and selective engineered precision biologics, using our proprietary platform technology that allows site-specific incorporation of synthetic amino acids (SAAs) into proteins within living cells. The Patent Docketing Specialist/Assistant position provides docket services for the Patent Group, ensuring integrity and accuracy of the docket function. Assists on special projects, researching and analyzing relevant issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provides docket services for the Patent Group, ensuring integrity and accuracy of the docket function
- Dockets dates and deadlines, de-dockets completed items, and prepares responsive docket reports for the team
- Manage all forms of correspondence and ensure information is accurately entered into the database and record keeping system
- Maintain IP annuities database
- Perform project administration duties as needed
- Provide support with preparing documents required for filing with the USPTO
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of patent docketing experience preferred.
- High proficiency with Excel and file management
- Knowledge of patent docketing, management and annuities database e.g., CPI, CPA, etc.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
- Ability to work effectively and to prioritize under pressure; ability to meet deadlines under sometimes stressful conditions
- Strong motivation to meet deadlines and achieve goals
- Must have strong organizational skills and conduct tasks accurately and timely
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including flexibility, tact, and diplomacy
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Detail oriented, multi-tasker, problem solving, and strong proofreading skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
