Job Description
The Dock Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of Wendella’s scheduled tours, the Chicago Water Taxi, and Private Events. They serve as the direct supervisor to the scheduled Ticket Sellers, GSAs, and Dock Attendants. Dock Supervisors ensure all guests receive the highest level of guest services that all Wendella employees are expected to deliver. They are required to write daily reports, employee schedule deviations, and complete Memos for Record for dock staff, when necessary. Dock Supervisors are required to stand for long periods of time on the dock in all types of weather. They are required to move between our docks which requires ascending/descending stairs frequently. External candidates will need to pass guest service ambassador and ticket seller training prior to beginning their supervisor training.
Qualifications & Requirements:
– Flexible or open availability. Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
– 2-3 years of customer service experience.
– Supervisor experience preferred.
– Foreign language skills a plus.
– Ability to work with co-workers and all levels of staff.
– Excellent guest services, interpersonal and communication skills.
– Excellent leadership skills.
– Familiarity with the downtown area.
